A company can undergo a fascinating development over time. It can emerge from humble beginnings, evolve and eventually become a pioneer in its industry. That is the remarkable journey we have made at Wanner. Today, we proudly celebrate our 150th anniversary and take you on a journey through our history.
It began in 1872, when the company was founded as a small wire rope factory. Our company quickly became a preferred supplier of high-quality wire ropes, which have been used in various industries. These included mining, construction and shipbuilding.
Through a combination of outstanding expertise, commitment to quality and a constant search for innovation, we have been able to consolidate our position as a leading wire rope manufacturer. Over time, our company grew and diversified its product offering. We recognized the growing demand for rope, lifting and PU technology and decided to offer our customers comprehensive solutions.
The addition of rope and lifting technology products and services to our wire rope business was a milestone in our history. We have expanded our product portfolio to offer solutions for a wide range of applications, including cranes, hoists, winches and much more. At the same time, we have expanded our service offering to assist our customers with the installation, maintenance and repair of their equipment.
Our tradition has helped us not to forget our origins. Although we are constantly evolving, we have managed to remain true to our core values. Quality, reliability and a family environment are still the foundation of Wanner. Our dedicated team helps to ensure that we live these values every day and that we exceed our customers’ expectations.

To celebrate 150 years of Wanner, we invited employees and representatives from the industry to our plant in Neu-Ulm. The event provided an opportunity to recognize our many years of success and look to the future. We used the celebrations to showcase our latest innovations and technologies and highlight our commitment to improvement.
As we look back on our past, we are also looking forward to the years ahead. We continue to be at the forefront of rope and lifting technology.
